Jennifer Wood was introduced to yoga in the early 2000s. Since the beginning of that introduction, she felt a calling to become a yoga instructor.
Jennifer is a two-time cancer thriver and is currently living with her second cancer, brain cancer. When she found out it was growing again after undergoing treatments in 2016, she woke up one morning and heard her subconscious say, “You have wanted to be a yoga instructor. If not now, when?” Jennifer contacted Waynesville Yoga Center, now The Yoga and Bodywork Collective, after researching where she could enroll. They had already started the 2023 program; however, she was allowed to join after only missing the first weekend, making up for that weekend with the instructors. Some weekends were a struggle, while others gave her peace of mind that she had made the right choice. Jennifer persevered and is now a certified 200-hour yoga instructor.
Jennifer’s goal is to bring students peace of mind and body through yoga.
